Complete Bearing Selection Guide

Radial
Radial Ball Bearings provide an almost unlimited range of applications where the loading is primarily radial. Features include your choice of shields, seals, snap rings for locating, lubrication, and tolerances. All radial bearings are produced in accordance with ABEC 1 tolerances and in most cases are offered in higher grades of precision. Stainless steel is available on many of these sizes. Series under the radial bearing category include; 6700, 6800, 6900, 6000, 6200, 6300, and 6400.

Super Precision
Where accuracy, high speed operation and rigidity, not provided by ABEC 1 ball bearings is required. Also available in "angular contact" with options to increase axial load much more than a conventional radial bearing. Angular contact bearings are normally "flush ground" for duplex mounting. Light, medium, and heavy preloading is offered, as well as 15, 25, 35, and 40 degree contact angles. Most commonly high speed "phenolic" retainers are suggested, however steel and bronze retainers are available.

Cylindrical Roller
Designed to accommodate heavy radial loads. Also available as separable components to facilitate easy mounting and unmounting. Some of the more popular series are N, NU, NJ, and NF and are dimensionally interchangeable with many radial bearings. Like other bearings many cylindrical units are offered with steel, polyamide, and bronze retainers.

Double Row
The 5200 and 5300 series double row bearings have the same inside and outside diameters as the 6200 series and 6300 series single row radial type. Double Row Bearings meet the demand for increased axial and radial rigidity where the application design limits space.

Needle
The needle bearing combines maximum load capacity and low cost. Available is the full compliment style, and the retainer type needle bearing for applications where less drag is required. Both metric and inch sizes are standard, and seals are an option on many of the sizes produced. Roller clutch needle bearings (one directional) are also stocked in depth.

Tapered Roller
Predominantly used in applications where radial loads exist, such as automobile and truck front wheels. Able to carry extremely heavy radial loads and also capable of taking thrust loads in either direction. Available in a large range of both inch and metric sizes.
